Hi again everyone...
I just wanted to pop by to wish you all a very Happy Easter and to share a couple of last minute Easter projects that I've made! To be honest, Easter has crept up on me at a lightning speed and I wasn't really prepared for it ~ I'm only just getting over Christmas which seems like yesterday but with a day to spare, I sat down to make a quick Easter card and a couple of gifts and I really hope you love them...
For the card, I stamped one of the mini Easter blueprints from Tim Holtz onto watercolour card and painted it using Distress Markers. I then popped it inside a mini cabinet card....
...added a crinkle bow, some paper flowers, moss, fibres and a hand dyed ribbon and I think this makes the perfect little Easter card!
I've also been making a little handmade present for my Mum who doesn't eat chocolate and also has an allergy to pollen! So believe me, Easter can be a bit of a tricky time to find the right gift for her but as soon as I saw Tim Holtz's wonderful alcohol eggs, (you can see Tim's original post, HERE) I thought I might as well head off to the local supermarket to see what I could find and lo and behold, I found just what I needed to create this little Easter Bunny Hop centrepiece!
I made three alcohol inked eggs and tied ribbons and twine around the centre of each and then popped them into the centre of some willow nests. I then surrounded them with shredded tissue, handmade paper flowers, dried flowers from the florist and some cute little bunnies. All that was needed then was to add a decorative pin with a message and voila...it's all ready to wrap in cellophane and give to my Mum tomorrow!
I also made a second smaller version for my Dad, just because I thought they looked so good together and so he doesn't feel left out. So, he'll be receiving this with his usual chocolate Easter Egg!!!
Thanks so much for popping by today and hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!
See you tomorrow with another post...love Emma xxx
