Prince of Hearts by L.A. Cotton

Prince of hearts is the first book of the Verona Legacy duet by L.A. Cotton. This is a mafia romance duet. It is a dual pov book and the characters Adrianne Capizola and Niccolo Marchetti are introduced in this book.
This is was my first book by this author and man! she did not disappoint. Prince of hearts is a full on mafia book with anti-heroes and rival families all in one.
My body trembled with need. To take what she was offering. To do the right thing. To be the better man. But I wasn't a good man. I was Niccolò Marchetti, son of the devil, prince of hell. She was everything I wasn't. Everything I could never be.
Adrianne , out heroine grew up in her house, which was much more of a prison to her. When her father finally agreed to let her go to the university along with her best friend.
That was until danger struck and she met Niccolo for the first time. Their first encounter was brief but it was enough for them both to remember and starve for each other.
That leads to unplanned moments, rivalries and the heart break. The ending of this book is a cliffhanger and I just cant wait for the finale of the Verona duet!!!
This book is recommended to all the mafia lovers who can digest a marvelous cliffhanger!!!

“It’s a beautiful night,” I said from the shadows.
“Nicco?” She glanced around, searching for me. When her eyes landed on me standing by the corner
of the building, she stood up. “What do you want?”
“Ahh, Bambolina.” I let out a weary sigh. “That is a loaded question.”
“Humor me.” Lina took a step closer. The moonlight danced off the soft features of her face.
Jesus, she was so fucking beautiful.
“I want to kiss you.” I inched toward her, unable to resist the magnetic pull I felt whenever I was
around her. “I want to finish what we started earlier. I want to feel you beneath me, hear you cry my
name.”
I want to make you mine.
“You couldn’t get away from me fast enough earlier.” Her confused gaze cut me like a thousand tiny
blades over my skin.
“It’s not what you think,” I said, moving closer still. Lina mirrored my movements until we were
standing in front of each other.
Until she was close enough to touch.
“What’s happening to us, Nicco?” she whispered. “Why do I feel like this?”
“What do you feel like?” I brushed the hair off her neck. She had a thick hoodie pulled over her
body, but I was still able to stroke the skin beneath her ear. Lina’s eyes drifted closed as she inhaled
a shaky breath.
“I look for you when you’re not there. I feel you when you’re close. I can’t get you out of my head.”
Her eyes opened again, fixing on mine. She smiled and it was like a bolt of lightning to my heart.
This girl.
This innocent sweet girl was ruining me.
