Returning to the hip looking coffee shop which we'd encountered earlier, we learned that this was one of the recommended places of another friend, so this was just convenient!
It's also known for being a lovely and instagrammable shop!
They have loads of yummy food, but we were craving just for coffee right now (after those 2 huge bowls of noodles!)
Pop Up by Social Club offers whole day Western-style breakfasts and craft coffee and drinks using the finest ingredients and organic milk. You can also customize your coffee with non-dairy options, making them vegan friendly!
They use Oatly for their Oat Milk.
A selection of sweets as healthier alternatives.
They even have Vegan Brownies along with the regular ones!
Now this is one cause which I truly support hehe.
LOL cute!
The interiors of this coffee shop is modern yet pretty with some nice touches of details and random splashes of color.
We sat near the windows at a bar table so we could observe the energy of the city as we sipped our drinks lol.
I tried a Hot Mocha for once, while my friend had a Flat White with Oat Milk.
The latte art was nicely done and so pretty!
Mocha - HK$40
The chocolate looked delectable in my cup!
Flat White - HK$35 (+HK$5) for the Oat Milk.
Yum, those were some very satisfying cups of joe!
Pop Up by Social Club is located on the ground floor of China Hong Kong Tower, 8-12 Hennessy Road in Wanchai. They're open from 8:00 AM - 12:00 Midnight on weekdays and 10:00 AM - 12:00 Midnight on weekends.
Next we got on the tram to continue with our sight seeing tour today. We were heading to check out the High Speed Railway Station, aka the Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station. As train and railway fans, we were very interested to see it in person!
We got off at Central, walking to Hong Kong station.
Then we took a train to Kowloon station.
Just follow the signs to the HSR station.
Passing through the Elements mall.
Bathroom break lol. This art outside the toilets was just adorable!
This mall was pretty swanky as with most large malls in the country.
These fountains are really unique looking as the water continuously flows on their metal bodies. It's hard to capture the streaming motion on photos though. Better up close in person!
Wow, this was an awesome ice skating rink!
We took some photos of the nice view from here.
We'd arrived at the Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station! This is the terminus of the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL). It is the only station in the Hong Kong section and connects to the mainland China section through a dedicated tunnel. source
Wow, it was just MASSIVE and almost as huge as an airport terminal! The place was packed with passengers as well.
The ceiling's architectural design really appealed to me, and one can't help but look up! Here we were strolling around the food court.
If we had more stomach space during this time, we probably might have tried their self-ordering kiosks lol.
An ingenious display of golden spoons!
Even from afar, we could notice those green Chinese characters for Tim Ho Wan. Yum!
After exploring what we could of the inside, we then proceeded outdoors.
Such a hot sunny day but perfect for viewing the clear blue skies!
Overall area map.
We passed through the nearby mall again and just strolled along leisurely.
This little fashion display was just the cutest!
Continuing on to Civic Square. More to come on the upcoming post!
