சோலை தனில் நடமாடும் தூய குழல் இசைபாடும்

சுகமுறும் அசுணமும் மகிழ விரித்தாடும்
இறகு நிழலமரும் எழிலுக்கெழிலான

வானவில்லில் காணுகின்ற வண்ண வண்ண நிறமெல்லாம்

வந்து வந்து சரண் புகுந்ததோ

மோன எழில் காண நாணி வானமதியானதஞ்சி

மூல நாதன் சடை போனதோ

கான மழை பொழிந்திட கந்தருவர் கின்னரரும்

Meaning

Pallavi: Upon seeing the charm of your blue-flower-hued form, my heart’s wish is fulfilled immensely.

Anupallavi: When the flute music wafts in the orchard, the musical melody-sensitive bird starts dancing with pleasure.

CaraNam: Do all the colors seen in the rainbow appear here now when the music pervades in the air? Getting a little shy witnessing such a beauty, did the moon hide away on the matted locks of the lord (Shiva)? When the (flute) music pours in torrents, did the Celestials (who play music) disappear out of shame? Your face shines like a falls (of honey) wherein fish are swimming delightfully.
