2007 Les Plantiers de Haut-Brion:
(2nd Ch. Haut-Brion blanc) Pale lemon yellow. Grapefruit, lemons, minerals, some wax and vanilla. Fresh acidity, lively and playful, lemony minerals and a slightly bitter touch, almost floral with air, long if a bit lean finish. 92

1985 Charles Heidsieck Champagne Charlie:
Pale golden, tiny bubbles. Apples, yeast, minerals, lime peel, brioche. Fresh acidity, elegant mousse with a slightly sweet touch, elegant and refined with lovely balance, long and fresh finish. Winy texture and feel. 95

1994 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne:
Pale golden. Minerals, some butter, touch of nuts, and a slight hint of apples. Fresh acidity, mineraly and lemon palate, refreshing, elegant, stunning with creamy grouse soup. Long. 93

1964 Château Latour:
Very top shoulder fill, excellent cork. Bright deepish ruby, very thin brick rim. Starting out earthy. After thirty minutes whiff of prunes and figs, cassis, pencil shaves, cedar, scented and superb nose. layered and complex. Absolutely gorgeous. Not decanted. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, and the tannins are perfectly integrated in the texture, soon polished off. Layered and mouthwatering, Aged and still youthfull, gorgeous length. Best bottle I've had of 64 Latour. Minutes of length. Superb with classic grouse. Starting to dry far out in the finish after two hours if you had to much in the glass. With smaller pours, it held up superbly in the bottle. Drink soon. 96-97

1975 Château Latour:
Very top shoulder fill. Bright ruby, garnet rim. Opened up superbly with three hours of decanting. Intensely scented, more scented and cedar, plums, cassis and a very slight touch og prunes. Finest leather available. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins and quite noticable even if ripe. Lovely. Lively, can be mistaken for lean mid-palate but lots of things going on. Refreshing and lively finish, superb complexity, very long finish. Exquisit with filet of venison. 98

1986 Château Léoville Barton:
Deep ruby. Finally a bottle that is starting to open. Well, open is not the right word. Its still tighter than most. Scented, violets, cassis, some leather and fine tea. Fresh acidity, tight, ripe tannins, When will it open? Nothing happens with air, just like former bottles, in different formats. Give it another ten to twenty years. Long. 94

2002 Joh.Jos.Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel:
Pale golden. Tight apples, minerals, and ever so slightly tropical touch. Fresh acidity, lovely sweetness, elegant but subdued, lacks a bit of refinement and could be more complex. Fairly straightforward. Good length. 90

2010 Markus Molitor Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese **:
Pale lemon yellow. Lemon, touch of grapefruit, minerals. Fresh and lively acidity, elegant, superb balance, elegantly playful, superb finish. So lively. 94
